( 1 ) Telecom major Bharti Airtel is the fourth largest mobile operator in the world with over 250 million connnections globally, according to analyst firm Wireless Intelligence.
( 2 ) United State cyclist Lance Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned for life by the International Cycling Union (UCI).
( 3 ) Crisil has downgraded its rating on the bank facility of Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) to 'CRISIL D' from 'CRISIL BB/ Stable'.
( 4 ) Maharashtra government said today that investment worth Rs3,834 crore have been received in the textile sector, generating employment to 29,220 people.
( 5 ) Yash Chopra Bollywood's 'King of Romance' cremated in Mumbai as he died on 21 october 2012 at the age of 80.
( 6 ) Cairn India Ltd tripled its net profit in September quarter to Rs 2,322.18 crore.
