It is a governmental organisation set up for improving the nutritional and health status of children with the age group 0-6 years .As the prime responsibility of the Directorate is to do the proper implementation of the flagship program for children development service scheme and also responsible for implementation of the Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls - SABLA, and the Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana in each and every district of Bihar. The Integrated Child Development Society is also making effort to reduce the incidence of malnutrition, mortality and school drop-out. The Integrated Child Development Society is doing all around the clock to achieve effective coordination and also tried to enhance the capability if the mother to look after the normal health and nutrition needs through nutrition and health education for every single women.
