In India their are four main ways of transport section railways, roads, inland water , and civil aviation's among these major portion is occupied by Indian Railways contributing about 60% of total traffic generated in the country. So we are not surprised to see the railways track spread like spider web in whole of the country and people love to travel in trains because it is cheap , reliable and fastest means of transport in India.
Looking on the list of ISO certified trains in India is very short because to follow the terms and conditions in order to obtain the ISO certificate in minimum budget what railways had is a very tough task but it is the hard and consistent work of the railways that their many trains have been awarded this certificate. ISO 9001-2008 is an internationally acclaimed Organization which is formed by the group of many Auditing organisation Internationally, who works under different modules set up,categorise processes and system evaluation, before labelling or registering ISO Certification they take high fees and do audit where as they don't guarantee end product, but the process or points in giving the certificate are as follows.
