What Do you love In TET Versus Academic Merit For Junior Arts Language and Science Vacancy In Uttar Pradesh

This is the most controversial question of all the time in the history of Uttar pradesh teacher recruitment since 2011 but still it is not sort out but why ? Reasons are many but only a person having Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Teacher Eligibility Test (T.E.T) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) passed know the depth of the question as they have been suffering and burning in this TET Versus Academic Merit For Junior Arts Language and Science Vacancy in Uttar Pradesh. Each one of us is having our own views in this regard may be we are wrong or right in our views but how this is effecting the future of our students in Uttar Pradesh who want to have a successful career in teaching.Some people think recruitment should be done on the basis of TET merit while other group want that it should be done on academic merit so what should government do in this situation.

Advantage of TET Merit

First TET exam in Uttar Pradesh was held back in the year 2011 where pass percentage of students was very high point to be noted here is at the time of advertisement it was clearly mentioned that this exam is just a eligibility test that time students were not aware of the fact that the ruling government of that time is going the consider this exam for the recruitment of 72825 teachers in uttar pradesh,so many students just cleared the exam and didn't score much like other students who got more than 125+ marks ,later when the recruitment notification was issued heart of many low TET marks students get shattered as they never thought it would happen that way,but government made it clear that many students who had passed their high school , intermediate and graduation from eastern uttar pradesh have very high academic because they cheated in the exam as we had seen many such news in many leading news papers of that time and it had be authentically proved that cheating had been done, so more or less it was a good decision by the government to fill the vacancy through TET merit exam. Secondly their was no need to conduct any other entrance exam for the recruitment by the government as this exam it self was like any entrance exam.Third was the best way in sorting out the people from group of more 5 lakhs B.Ed and B.T.C passed students who are eligible in the basis of their current and educational knowledge and who is best among the best will get job.
                           Well the very important point to be noticed here is that the TET exam was not held cheating free and head who conducted the exam was held by police for scrutiny and many breaches are held in the exam as 4-5 time the answer key were changed, the people who are having high approach in the education department increased their marks as per their choice and hence played with the future of many hard working and eligible student for the post , so is this a good selection procedure in Uttar Pradesh ?.

Advantage of Academic Merit

It is clear TET exam 2011 was not held cheating free as it is good to fill the vacancy with academic merits,First academic merit is good only of those students who are regular and consistent in teaching.Science students are having more academic marks then arts students as it is having a practical section in graduation and this point keeps science students one step ahead of arts students.Secondly academic merit is made by considering marks from high school to B.Ed level so every section of student life is considered in making the merit .Third if recruitment is done by this process then students with low academic merit too can get a government job which is good as in this section thousand of students occupy the place.Fourth the academic merit show the over all growth and hard work of a student from his childhood till graduation and if these people will be selected as a teacher then surely they will give a good moral and centralised education to the children's at the schools.
                   If it had already been proved at in the eastern uttar pradesh many students good good academic marks on the basis of teaching then how can we say that this method of selection is best of the above too and we can not ask for its scrutiny by government as lakhs of deserving candidate will not get job and cheaters will get the job. ?

So Far What Teacher Eligibility Test (T.E.T) Had Given us ?

(A) If in a family their are two brothers or sister , and if one among them is TET pass then other sister feels that she or he is his enemy as in future only TET pass is going to get a job same is the case between good friends and these days they don't talk to each other because of this TET exam.
(B) Before the teacher recruitment is started people start raising their voice against the selection procedure and comment by saying that it should be done on the basis of TET or Academic basis and finally the recruitment goes in the court by having a writ on it.

(C) TET 2011 exam as very easy and the pass percentage was very very high and thousand of people scored more then 130+ marks but what about those people who give their exam in 2013 where pass percentage was very very low and it was so tough to score 100+ marks so are these people not very intelligent as those who pass in 2011 and if this score is considered for next five year then only 2011 candidates will be more benefited till the next five years .
(D) What kind of exam is this that students can sit in it as many times he or she wish ,don't yo think it is same if we are allowing any students to take as many exam he or she want to get good marks in high school in intermediate or at graduation and collect 4-5 marks sheet of same exam and at the time of vacancy apply with the mark sheet with highest marks ?.

What is the Best Method of selection for teacher vacancy in Uttar Pradesh ?

No one can give the best answer for this question but the best thing government can do is to make some amendment or notification that no one can go to court by applying writ on the notification and before the finally notification is published government should as the public review on the blue print of the advertisement and then after changing the issued marks by objection publish the final notification.
Well their are many others points but its tough to mention all of them here but every single students in the state whats that if the vacancy are issued by the government then they should be filled in the minimum possible time hence saving the time and money of the students .


In February our neighbouring state had issued the notification for 903 primary teachers and the state name is Uttrakhand and you people will be surprised to know the method of their selection as the government of that state give equal weight age to TET as well as academic merit and the recruitment had been finished in a very peaceful manner.
