( 1 ) Blas Iglesias Fernandez became the first foreign coach in India to be awarded the Dronacharya Award along with Yashvir Singh coach of two-time Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar.
( 2 ) The Indian squash team won a gold and a silver medal at the 16th Asian Junior Team Championships in seoul.
( 3 ) Biggest ever field of its history for cycling being created so that 28 countries can be represented by 567 cyclists in track and road racing event named Hero Cycles 33rd senior and the 20th junior Asian cycling championship will be held from March 7 to 17 in New Delhi.
